At DigitalComputerCamp, we want our customers and clients to understand clearly how payments, cancellations, refunds, and deposits are handled.

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be available for services and products purchased from DigitalComputerCamp.

This policy applies to purchases and payments made directly to DigitalComputerCamp through our website or through other payment methods that we have expressly authorized.

By purchasing a service, course, digital product, consultation, or other paid offering from DigitalComputerCamp, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Refund Policy.

This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or limit any consumer right, statutory right, or legal protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

2. General Refund Principles

Our refund eligibility depends on the type of product or service purchased.

Because some of our services involve time, planning, customization, third-party costs, or immediate access to digital content, different refund rules may apply to different purchases.

Before making a payment, customers should review:

  • The relevant service description;
  • Quotation or proposal;
  • Invoice;
  • Course or product description;
  • Applicable Terms and Conditions; and
  • This Refund Policy.

Where a specific written agreement contains refund terms that differ from this general policy, the specific written agreement will govern the relevant transaction to the extent permitted by law.

3. Website Design Services

Website design is a customized service involving planning, design, development, communication, revisions, and allocation of time and resources.

For this reason, website-design payments are treated differently from ordinary retail purchases.

3.1 Project Deposits

A deposit may be required before work begins.

The deposit reserves project time and allows DigitalComputerCamp to begin planning, design, development, and other project activities.

Once work has commenced, the deposit may be non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where DigitalComputerCamp agrees otherwise in writing.

This is because the deposit may cover work already performed, project preparation, allocated time, and resources committed to the project.

3.2 Cancellation Before Work Begins

If you cancel a website project before DigitalComputerCamp has begun substantive work, we may consider a refund request for amounts paid, subject to:

  • Any agreed cancellation terms;
  • Costs already incurred;
  • Third-party fees already paid;
  • Administrative costs where applicable; and
  • Any other applicable contractual terms.

Where a refund is approved, eligible amounts will normally be returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

3.3 Cancellation After Work Has Started

If a client cancels a project after work has begun, the refund amount, if any, will depend on:

  • The amount of work already completed;
  • Project planning already undertaken;
  • Design and development work completed;
  • Third-party costs incurred;
  • Materials or resources purchased;
  • Outstanding payments;
  • The applicable project agreement; and
  • Applicable law.

Work already completed may be deducted from any amount that is otherwise refundable.

3.4 Completed Projects

Once a website project has been substantially completed and delivered according to the agreed scope, payments for completed work are generally non-refundable.

If a client identifies a genuine issue relating to the agreed project scope, DigitalComputerCamp will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue in accordance with the applicable project agreement.

4. Website Design Revisions

Website projects may include a defined number of revisions as specified in the relevant quotation or agreement.

A client cannot normally request a refund simply because they change their mind about a design after approving or requesting the work.

Where a design requires reasonable revisions within the agreed scope, we will work with the client to make those revisions.

Requests that substantially change the original project scope may result in additional charges rather than a refund.

5. Client Delays and Abandoned Projects

A client is responsible for providing information, content, approvals, feedback, and other materials reasonably required to complete a project.

If a client fails to respond or provide required materials for an extended period, the project may be placed on hold.

If a project is considered abandoned because the client does not respond after reasonable attempts to contact them, DigitalComputerCamp may treat the project as cancelled in accordance with the applicable project agreement.

Payments for work already completed may not be refundable.

Any project restart or additional work may require a new quotation or additional payment.

6. Third-Party Website Costs

Website projects may involve third-party services such as:

  • Domain registration;
  • Web hosting;
  • Premium WordPress themes;
  • Premium plugins;
  • Software subscriptions;
  • Stock images;
  • Email services;
  • Payment gateways;
  • APIs; and
  • Other third-party services.

Where DigitalComputerCamp purchases a third-party product or service specifically for a client, the refund or cancellation terms of that third-party provider may apply.

DigitalComputerCamp cannot guarantee a refund for a third-party product or service where the third-party provider does not offer one.

Any third-party costs that have already been incurred may be deducted from an otherwise refundable amount where appropriate and legally permitted.

7. Digital Courses

DigitalComputerCamp may offer online courses, training programs, memberships, and other educational products.

Because digital courses may provide immediate access to lessons, videos, downloadable materials, templates, prompts, or other intellectual property, refunds may be subject to specific conditions.

7.1 Course Refund Requests

If a course is eligible for a refund, the applicable refund period will be stated on the relevant course sales page, checkout page, invoice, or purchase agreement.

Where no specific refund period is stated, refund requests should generally be submitted as soon as possible after purchase and before substantial consumption or downloading of the course materials.

We may consider factors such as:

  • Whether the course has been accessed;
  • How much of the course has been completed;
  • Whether course materials have been downloaded;
  • Whether downloadable resources have been accessed;
  • Whether the request is based on a genuine technical problem;
  • Whether the course description materially differed from what was delivered; and
  • Any applicable legal rights.

7.2 Technical Problems

If you experience a genuine technical problem preventing reasonable access to a course you purchased, please contact us.

We will first attempt to resolve the technical issue.

Where we are unable to provide reasonable access to a purchased course or digital product, we may offer an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • Restoring access;
  • Providing an alternative access method;
  • Extending access;
  • Replacing the affected product; or
  • Providing a refund where appropriate.

8. Digital Products and Downloads

DigitalComputerCamp may sell or provide digital products such as:

  • E-books;
  • Guides;
  • Templates;
  • Prompt packs;
  • Checklists;
  • Downloadable resources;
  • Digital files;
  • Training materials; and
  • Other digital products.

Because digital products can generally be accessed, downloaded, copied, or retained immediately after purchase, refunds may be limited once the digital product has been delivered or accessed.

However, this does not affect any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

If a digital product is defective, corrupted, inaccessible, materially different from its description, or cannot reasonably be used for the purpose for which it was sold, please contact us so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances, we may provide:

  • A replacement file;
  • A corrected version;
  • Alternative access;
  • Technical assistance; or
  • A refund where appropriate.

9. Consultations

DigitalComputerCamp may offer consultations relating to:

  • Website design;
  • Digital skills;
  • Online business;
  • Branding;
  • Digital tools;
  • Website strategy; and
  • Other digital services.

If you need to cancel a consultation, please notify us as early as reasonably possible.

Where a consultation is cancelled sufficiently in advance, we may allow:

  • Rescheduling;
  • Credit toward another service; or
  • A refund where applicable.

If you fail to attend a scheduled consultation without reasonable notice, the consultation may be treated as a completed booking and may not be refundable.

The specific cancellation terms stated at the time of booking may also apply.

10. Free Consultations

Where DigitalComputerCamp offers a consultation specifically described as a free consultation, there is no consultation fee to refund.

However, we may require reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Repeated failure to attend scheduled free consultations may result in restrictions on future bookings.

11. Brand Identity and Creative Design Services

Brand identity and creative design services may involve customized work such as:

  • Logo design;
  • Brand identity;
  • Typography selection;
  • Colour palettes;
  • Social-media graphics;
  • Marketing materials;
  • Brand guidelines; and
  • Other creative assets.

Because these services involve customized creative work, refunds depend on the stage of the project and the terms agreed before work begins.

Where work has already been completed, payments corresponding to completed work may not be refundable.

If a project is cancelled before work begins, we may consider a refund in accordance with the applicable quotation or agreement.

12. Courses, Services, and Products With Separate Refund Terms

Some DigitalComputerCamp products or services may have specific refund conditions.

For example, a course sales page may state:

“30-Day Refund Policy”

or a website-design agreement may contain specific cancellation terms.

Where a specific refund policy or written agreement applies to a particular purchase, that policy will govern that transaction to the extent of any inconsistency with this general Refund Policy.

13. Promotional and Discounted Purchases

Discounted or promotional products and services remain subject to this Refund Policy unless the promotional offer expressly states different refund terms.

Promotional pricing does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Any special conditions associated with a promotion will be communicated at the time of purchase where applicable.

14. Bundles and Packages

Where several products or services are purchased together as a bundle or package, refund eligibility may depend on whether the individual components have already been accessed, delivered, or substantially completed.

If part of a bundle has already been used or delivered, we may calculate any eligible refund based on the unused portion, subject to the applicable terms and law.

15. Non-Refundable Third-Party Purchases

Some costs may be paid to third parties on your behalf or at your request.

Examples include:

  • Domain registration;
  • Hosting;
  • Premium software;
  • Plugin licenses;
  • Theme licenses;
  • Stock assets;
  • Email services;
  • Payment-processing fees; and
  • Other third-party services.

Where a third-party provider has already charged a fee and does not provide a refund, DigitalComputerCamp may be unable to refund that portion of the payment.

We will communicate applicable third-party costs as clearly as reasonably possible.

16. Payment Processing Fees

Where a payment processor charges a non-refundable processing fee, the amount of any refund may be affected where legally permitted and where the fee has genuinely been incurred.

We will not use payment-processing fees as a means of unfairly preventing a refund where a refund is legally required.

17. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact DigitalComputerCamp using the details below.

Please include:

  • Your full name;
  • Email address used for the purchase;
  • Order, invoice, or transaction reference where available;
  • Product or service purchased;
  • Purchase date;
  • Amount paid;
  • Reason for the refund request; and
  • Any relevant supporting information.

Refund Email: hello@digitalcomputercamp.com

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify the transaction or assess the request.

18. Refund Review Process

After receiving a refund request, we will review the circumstances of the purchase.

We may consider:

  • The type of product or service;
  • The purchase date;
  • The applicable refund period;
  • Whether the service has commenced;
  • The amount of work completed;
  • Whether digital content has been accessed;
  • Whether files have been downloaded;
  • Whether third-party costs have been incurred;
  • The reason for the refund request;
  • The applicable agreement; and
  • Any applicable legal requirements.

We will communicate the outcome of the refund request after completing our review.

19. Approved Refunds

If a refund is approved, we will normally process it using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time required for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on the payment provider or financial institution involved.

DigitalComputerCamp is not responsible for delays caused solely by a third-party payment processor or financial institution after we have initiated the refund.

20. Refunds for Incorrect or Duplicate Payments

If you accidentally make a duplicate payment or pay an incorrect amount, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where the payment can be verified as a duplicate or genuine overpayment, we will review the transaction and arrange an appropriate refund or adjustment where applicable.

21. Failed or Unsuccessful Transactions

If a payment appears to have failed but money has been deducted from your account, please contact us with the transaction details.

We will investigate the payment with the relevant payment provider where necessary.

A failed transaction does not automatically constitute a completed purchase until payment has been successfully confirmed.

22. Chargebacks

We encourage customers to contact DigitalComputerCamp before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

If you believe that a transaction was incorrect, unauthorized, duplicated, or otherwise problematic, please give us an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising rights available to you under applicable law or through your financial institution.

23. Fraudulent Transactions

We reserve the right to investigate transactions that appear fraudulent, unauthorized, abusive, or otherwise suspicious.

Where appropriate, we may suspend service delivery while a payment is being investigated.

We may also cooperate with payment providers or relevant authorities where required.

24. No Refund for Change of Mind After Customized Work

For customized services such as website design and brand identity, a change of mind after substantive work has begun does not automatically create a right to a full refund.

Where appropriate, we may calculate any refund based on:

  • Work already completed;
  • Time already allocated;
  • Deliverables already produced;
  • Third-party costs;
  • Project expenses; and
  • The applicable agreement.

This does not affect any legal rights that cannot be excluded.

25. Service Quality Concerns

If you believe that a service does not meet the agreed scope or requirements, please contact us as soon as possible.

We prefer to resolve service concerns through communication and reasonable corrective action.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • Correct an issue;
  • Provide additional reasonable revisions;
  • Replace a defective digital product;
  • Provide technical assistance;
  • Extend access to a course;
  • Reschedule a consultation;
  • Provide a partial refund; or
  • Provide another appropriate remedy.

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the issue and the applicable agreement.

26. No Guaranteed Business Results

Payments for DigitalComputerCamp’s services are for the agreed services or deliverables.

We do not guarantee particular business results from:

  • Website design;
  • Branding;
  • Digital skills training;
  • SEO-related work;
  • Digital marketing education;
  • Courses;
  • Consulting; or
  • Other services.

For example, we do not guarantee a particular:

  • Revenue level;
  • Number of customers;
  • Search-engine ranking;
  • Website traffic;
  • Social-media following;
  • Conversion rate;
  • Advertising result; or
  • Return on investment.

Failure to achieve a particular business outcome does not automatically qualify a customer for a refund.

27. Client Responsibility

Clients are expected to provide accurate information, content, approvals, feedback, and access reasonably required to deliver a service.

Where a client delays a project, fails to provide required information, changes the project scope, or otherwise prevents completion, this may affect eligibility for cancellation or refund.

28. Refund Policy Changes

DigitalComputerCamp may update this Refund Policy from time to time.

Changes may be made to reflect:

  • New products or services;
  • Changes in our business;
  • Changes in payment methods;
  • Changes in refund procedures;
  • Changes in applicable law; or
  • Other operational requirements.

The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

The version applicable to a purchase will generally be the version in effect at the time of the relevant transaction, unless otherwise required by law or agreed with the customer.

29. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to remove or restrict any consumer or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

30. Contact Us
